Hi, I am Jan.
I am an ambitious cinematographer, and a passionate tomato grower raised and based in Cologne. Filming commercials, feature films and documentaries around the globe gave me the possibility to increase my expertise in filming and at the same time hunting for the best tomatoes.
My work brings me freedom and the opportunity to combine both of my passions permanently: Seeking for the best tomato salad worldwide and enjoying filming and working with amazing and wonderful human beings.
Technical understanding, a sensible feeling for stories and quite naturally my empathy for people guides me through every project. When it comes to work I love planing and creating a vision. It gives me the freedom to be creative and spontaneous on the shooting itself – sounds weird, but it works.
I speak German, English, Spanish and enough French to ask for the direction to the set and at least to order „une salade de tomates“.
